This is an actual mechanical (and magical sounding) tape delay. If you're looking for the warmth and degradation of tape echo, no other modern piece of gear comes close. If you're looking for a clear, noiseless, ultra-portable, and affordable delay, this should not be on your Xmas list.

The Tempus is an affordable reverb and delay pedal with unique algorithms, my favorite being the low-shimmer, allowing drones and pads to be generated with high notes.

This invention of Soma Labs' is the definition of a "sound goodizer machine". I'm not sure if I would call it a delay, reverb, or sustain. It certainly accomplished all three in an ingenious way. I imagine that if you ran the screeching of a dial-up modem through the Cosmos, it would take you to some incredible place.

Meet the permanent end of chain for every modular patch that you make from this point forward. The Starlab is a Eurorack take on the instant classic Nightsky algorithm penned by the big brains at Strymon and IMHO is easily the #1 reverb you can get in a module. Listen to some demos, it sells itself.

This is probably the most ambitious pedal in the world, and I don't say that lightly. Armed with a relatively steep learning curve, you can make your own effects, synthesizers, or even songs. Naturally, I've used it for all sorts of whacky delays and reverbs. The "Euroburo" is the Eurorack modular version of the pedal, which is essentially a modular synth inside your modular synth.

The highly versatile Empress Reverb does just about everything you could want a reverb pedal to do with world class quality algorithms, and what's crazier: It's over 7 years old and still probably the best pedal in the sub-$500 price range.
